1)Curry cut Chicken-300gms 2)Basmati Rice-2cups 3)Onion-3(medium size) 4)Ginger-Garlic paste- 1table spoon 5)Green Chillies -3pcs 6)Coriander leaves-1cup(with stems) 7)Mint leaves - 1/2cup 8)Curry leaves -1/3cup 9)Lemon-1pc 10)Whole jeera- 1teaspoon 11)White oil- 4table spoon 12)Salt -Accroding to taste 13)Sugar - 1/2 spoon 14)Water -4cups
Wash and soak the rice for 30mins.After that drain the water and let the rice dry in a strainer.Marinate chicken with salt and lemon juice for 10mins.Make a fine paste with coriander leaves,mint leaves,curry leaves and green chillies.Heat oil in a pan,add jeera and let it crackleThen add thinly sliced onions and fry them until golden brown.Add ginger-garlic paste,saute it for 1min.Now add the chicken pieces.Initially cook the chicken without covering,after two minutes cover it and cook it in slow flame until chicken cooked around 80% or so.Now add rice and mix it very gently.After 3mins add the green paste,boiled water,salt and sugar.Mix everything very well,now cover it and cook it in slow flame for 7 to 8 mins.Let it rest for another 10minutes.After that serve it with salad and raita.
